DJ Sparra started out as a b-boy during the trans-Atlantic Hip Hop explosion in 1982/83. He was instrumental in the formation of the hip hop scene in Birmingham and the West Midlands.
Having won back to back DMC UK titles and represented UK in the finals twice in the early 90s, Sparra’s played at many a hip hop/funk night up and down the country, supporting MC Duke in Nottingham, House of Pain/EPMD at Birmingham Hummingbird, as well as legendary nights like Substance, Brothers & Sisters, Smokin’, Sweat, (of course) Heducation!
